Marci's Garden

Most of the flower subjects in this collection of watercolor florals are from the garden beds around my home while others were inspired by the gardens at Tower Hill, just around the corner from me.  Others are the result of photo references taken by me at various orchid shows.  I'm fascinated by the existence of a large variety of native New England wild flowers, such as Ladies Slippers, Jack in the Pulpit and wild orchids, which I plan to paint in a series of these gorgeous endangered species while they can still be found.  My favorite flower is the everlasting Rose, my middle namesake after my maternal grandmother Rose and my Mom's favorite sibling, Auntie Rose.
